CNN Forgery Detectors Learn Artifacts Not Forgery

We explored small-scale CNN architectures with the goal of detecting generalized image forgery. We (trivially) found that a single CNN model cannot detect forgery from out-of-distribution models or techniques. In our paper, we explore and reason about this behavior.
